The Translation Research Of The New Economics: A Bigger Picture

This paper is a translation research of The New Economics：A Bigger Picture.The author translates the first, second, and eleventh Chapter of English book The NewEconomics：A Bigger Picture into Chinese, and then writes a translation researchabout the author’s version. The original is a typical and economic discussion article,whose topic is new. There are lots of typical economic jargons, acronyms, economicevents and economists in the original. Because there is no relevant Chinese version,so it is difficult to translate the original into Chinese. In author’s translation research,the author writes four parts, they are task description, the introduction of originalcontent and author, translation perception and the remaining problems. The authorsummarizes and analyzes the original and version, and then gets a lot of translationstrategies and translation perception. Meanwhile, the author learns and summarizessome economic terms and economic stories, and expands the knowledge reserves ofcross-disciplinary translation. Though writing version and translation research, theauthor can combine translation theory with translation practice very well and makebig progress in economic translation.
