A Research On Amorous Poems In Mid And Late Tang Dynasty

Amorous poems was a special branch in the developing history of Chinesepoems, for the conflict to the requirements of Confucian poetics, amorous poemscould hardly get an objective evaluation in past time.Defacto amorous poems was aproduct which always generated with consciousness of literature and awakening ofpoets’ personality subjects. The three stages of prosperous of Amorous poems in thedeveloping history of Chinese poems were:Qi,Liang,Chen Dynasties,Mid and LateTang Dynasty, the after Mid Ming Dynasty era, while Wei,Jin Dynasties,Mid Tangand Mid Ming were the three transition points in Chinese ancient society. Ifsubsequent effect is put into consideration, it can be deduced that both of them arebasically coincidence. And this thesis is to emphatically study amorous poems in theera of Mid and Late Tang Dynasty.The themes which involved by amorous poems were appeared in the book ofsongs, while its basic elements were accumulated from Wei,Jin Dynasties to Liu SongDynasty. And gong-ti poetry was widely prevalent in Qi,Liang Dynasties, whichmeans amorous poems had its prosperous for the first time. But there were manyimmaturities in amorous poems in this period, and gong-ti poetry was associated withthe national ruin of Liang,Chen Dynasties by later generations, all these lead to atemporary interrupt of amorous poems. But the development of amorous poems inearly Tang Dynasty was actually based on gong-ti poetry in Qi,Liang Dynasties. Onthe other hand, the behaviors of fresh lower intellectuals in this period also suggest atrend of social customs which leaded by Jinshi estate in after Mid Tang Dynasty, andthe renaissance of amorous poems in Mid and Late Tang Dynasty was mainlyfacilitated by the very group.Mid and Late Tang Dynasty was the second stage of amorous poems’ prosperous,amorous poems in this era had to be effected by gong-ti poetry, meanwhile the ancientpoems and Yuefu poems in earlier time also applied some effects on it. In addition,Mid and Late Tang Dynasty was in a new historical stage, the rise of a new socialethos and a new social group, that is Jinshi estate also brought some evolutions toamorous poems in this era, so amorous poems in Mid and Late Tang Dynasty was akind of poems which was effected by multiple influence, it also possessed bothtradition and evolutions. The aim of this thesis is to investigate how amorous poems in this era was effected by the past poems in poem systems and themes, then how itmanifested as evolutions in new social environment.Besides,in Qi,Liang Dynasties,the poetic view used "Yuanqing" as its core had some contradictions with the creationof gong-ti poetry, amorous poems in Mid and Late Tang Dynasty kept on makingprogress on this basis, what’s more,it had fusion the contradictions, and established aconnection with poets and amorous poems, then Xianglian poetry was the finalprogress in this process.
