Beside deconstructing patriarchal culture, she alsosaw the pain and frustration of male intellectuals with the influence ofcommercialized society, which caused her to pay more attentions on problems ofthose male intellectuals and their spiritual world. In the later period, Xu Kun’s novelsgradually tended to be peaceful, expressed that she cared about female’s livingcondition and their spiritual world mainly via the descriptions of their real lifes andpsychology, which exposed the persecution of modern female’s minds by socialenvironment with the influence of the male and patriarchal culture, showing a selfconsciousness of modern females. That is to say, deconstructing patriarchal culturerun throughout the creation of Xu Kun in her both two periods. However, fordeconstructing male culture of the feminist consciousness novels in later period, XuKun did not deny the male completely.
