With the coming of the era of knowledge economy, the cultural industry developed rapidlybecause of the huge market potential and broad prospects for the industry, and the culturalindustry is becoming one of the most promising industries of the21st century. As theobjects of the’Rise of Central China’ strategy, the central six provinces not only occupy animportant position in our country economy development, but also have rich and profoundculture and history. The development of cultural industry will be a inherent power andimportant breakthrough to the’Rise of Central China’ strategy. The purpose of the thesis isto evaluate the cultural industry competitiveness of six central provinces by index system,and to get the factors and synthesize competitiveness on them; further to analyze theimpact the cultural industry competitiveness do to the economic development based on theconclusion above.The paper, based on the existing related research literature and reports, the six provinces ofcentral China culture industry, uses the2007-2009data and factor analysis to establish thecultural industry competitiveness evaluation system, get the five factors and synthesizecompetitiveness by the sequential fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the resultsshowed that: Hunan and Henan cultural industry competitiveness are the best, HubeiProvince and Anhui province are in the middle level, Shanxi province and Jiangxi provinceare the worst. Then the paper applies the grey relation analysis method to analyze theimpact the cultural industry competitiveness concluded do to the economic development.The results show there is the greatest impact to the primary industry, and the smallestimpact to secondary industry. The conclusion of the paper provides a reference andrecommendations on improving their own competitiveness of cultural industry, promotingthe development of economy and optimizing the economic structure.One of the innovations of this paper is using the sequential fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation method to analyze, which make the result more reasonable and more persuasive;another innovation is applying the value of cultural industry competitiveness evaluationcalculated to model, which has certain practical value.
