Throughout the Chinese children’s literature,Yan Wenjing is an unique existence,occupied an important position. Yan Wenjing’s fairy tales creation started at the erawhen Chinese political fairy tale was the main stream, an he went through the periodof the fairy tales which was focusing on education. His fairy tale has educationalmeanings in a whole, and educational fairy tales are an important starting point of hisfairy tales. This article is writing in an attitude to supplement and perfect the study ofYan Wenjing’s fairy tale’s writing. Including the essential of the fairy tale of YanWenjing, the accept and the accepted theory of educational fairy tales which is on YanWenjing’s fairy tale’s writing, the analysis of the art of Yan Wenjing’s fairy tales. Inorder to have a deeper thinking on the nature of children’s literature and thedevelopment of children’s literature.Yan Wenjing had been working on the respect for the children, writing children,concerning for children. But he could not leave the shackles of education. Educatiingchildren is an important purpose of his fairy tales writing, his respecting for children,writing for children and careing for children have educational purposes, so his fairytales are educating fairy tales for children. His unique nature of children mind andthe needing of the fairy tales, made his fairy tales present the outlook beyond theeducation. This also affected the readers to accept the work, the reception showedhistoric and phase characteristics. Yan Wenjing’s unique literary quality and artistictemperament made his fairy literature maintain his "poetic" singing under thepressure of utilitarian. This article discusses the following sections:The first part, start from the formation mechanism of the fairy tale creation, toanalyze the social background and requirements of the creation of Yan Wenjing’schildren literature, the value which the writer’s own pursuit, and the contradictions thetwo reveals in their fairy tales.Yan Wenjing’s fairy creation seriously practice themission of education, which was the potential of groups mission, and the writerembodies of a conscious and a deep enlightenment complex accumulated from Chinese tradition which is the writer’s social psychology.But this is actually a bigmistake,that they exaggerate the education function of the fairy tales, and make theresults of amplification education infinitely, we must correctly understand thenature.Yan Wenjing’s unique ethos reflectes in his personal nature of mind andattitude to children and fairy tales; Yan Wenjing’s artistic pursuit is impacted largelyby the three people behind him, they are Shen Congwen, Bing Xin, and HansChristian Andersen. Through the analysis of his personal ethos and artistictemperament, we can conclude his view of Children and his attitude to his creation.Comprehensive Yan Wenjing’s era of psychological and his own inherent artisticspirit,I find that there are contradictions between the significant education and hisown artistic temperament of the performance in the fairy tales to pursue, including thecontradiction of his children concentric and education rationality,the pursuit of thevalue of the literature itself to seek a balance between reality and art.Through this part,I analysised the inherent nature of the fairy tales of Yan Wenjing, they were the workswhich were the writer’s self-expression under the educational bondage fairy spirits.The second part, starting from the creation and receive psychology, study the YanWenjing’s fairy tales between accepting and be accepted, study the internal operationof his fairy tales. For children and adults are important parts of the fairy tales, theprocessing of works for both has a direct impact on the accepted of the works. In thispaper, I started from the children and adults to study Yan Wenjing how to deal withboth and the relationship between the two.Then we can probably see the wholepicture of his works and inner thoughts.The third part, start from the artistic value of Yan Wenjing’s fairy tales. Theeducation is not the whole of Yan Wenjing’s works.It is a limitation of his own era andthe society, but education can not conceal his inner artistic temperament. ResearchYan Wenjing’s artistic features without the inner shell by means of education, I findthat consists of poetry, fantasy and dreams, the simplified art and the shadow of fineWestern children’s literature and temperament.
