Alex.Solzhenitsyn is one of the important authers in Russian20century. His personal experience, literature writing and cultural activities is impacted by the society of the special era, and in turn, plays a big role in the development of the development of the cultural. His pioneer works created a precedent of the novel on the ’convict farm’ in former Soviet Union and cried the voice of the dissidents. Thus the author regarded these three works as a whole, and named’the convict farm trilogy’. Based on it, this dissertation is divided into three parts, focused on the following problems:first chapter, based on the first novel, is devoted to discussing the dilemma which the protagonists face in the convict farm from micro-level, and to analyzing the survival instinct and life care appealed by the protagonists conflicting with environment. Second chapter, based on the second novel, is devoted to psychological analysis from the previous discussion of the individual behaviours, specially to analyzing the specialty of this farm and the design of this system. The important issue is the psychological states and the survival wills of the prisoners and also the prevalent appeals for freedom and justice. In Third chapter, Solzhenitsyn, to seek out the way of Russia, discribed the resistance of Russian intellectuals featured with distinct nationality. This special group of resistance is classified by the degree, to reveal the value and the meaning of the resistance during the special time and the specific answer for " how to deal with this"The goal of this thesis is to highlight the preservation and resistance by Russian in difficulties, and also to reveal the unique consideration of Solzhenitsyn on convict farm novel. Although this time is past and the comments on Solzhenitsyn are different, but the conflicts between human and environment are always our focus. It should be pointed out that, in the three consecutive works, whether the care of their own life in first novel, or the survival will and the appeal to freedom and justice in second novel, or the resistance of the intellectuals featured with distinct nationality, all express his respect for human life and his firmness of changing difficulties.
