The affective filter hypothesis is proposed by Krashen, the master of the second language acquisition. This theory consists of four aspects:motivation, learning purpose, self-confidence and anxiety. From the observation of learners which use English as a second language, we argue the reasonable of the affective filter hypothesis, in order to explore personal emotional factors on language learning. The main involved issues includes:First, individual students with different backguounds whether have differences in the emotional state of language learning. Second, the impact of various factors on the motivation of learners. Third, a summary of the differences on the learning objetives. Fourth, self-confidence and anxiety on learners. Five, the understanding and advice of language learners on the linguistic knowledge and interdisciplinary knowledge, and so on.In this paper, we observe Guangxi University graduate and undergraduate student which in school by self-designed questionnaire. And the questionnaire includes basic personal information of investigators and10multiple-choice questions. We mainly use quantitative analysis and combined with a small range of interviews, with the aid of the Spss Social Sciences statistical package, count collected data and analyse it. The survey results show that the level of learners’ personal feelings closely related to language learning, and it is a positive correlation. This confirms Krashen’s affective filter hypothesis. The survey found that in various factors, learners increase emphasis on individual factors. They focus on the actual use of language, hoping to understand the theoretical knowledge of linguistics to promote the acquisition of specific language and teaching software.In this paper, the research union a number of recommendations gives the comment on the individual learner and language teaching, in order to promote second language learning.
