Musical Cultural In Liangzhou

Music, with its specific law of development, composes a special culture of human society, but it can never be isolated from the grand cultural background, just like the relationship between waves and the sea, thus the music in a specific area is the musicalized symbol of the local culture.Based on the cultural background of Liangzhou area, this paper explores from the perspective of ethomusicology the features of Liangzhou music and the relationship between Liangzhou music and Liangzhou culture. The discussion is divided into several parts, including the history, environmental features, dialect and custom in Liangzhou area, with the well-known performing arts of "Liangzhou Xian Xiao","Hexi Bao Juan"(2forms of Musical Telling in Liangzhou and the West of Yellow River) and "Gongguzi Yue Wu"(Dance Accompanied by Drums) as the examples.Instead of the traditional approach of "confining the study on music to music", this paper adopts a communicative approach to the music and culture in Liangzhou area, thus more factors and bonds between are to be found.
