Chinese traditional culture’s influence on its social development is double. On the one hand, a large number of factors promote society; On the other hand, there are some factors which hinder social development. From a contemporary perspective, Chinese traditional culture can not be directly led to modernization, Chinese modernization cannot leave the modernization of the Chinese traditional culture, traditional cultural evolution informs us that culture modernization must be based on the modernization of the economy, the two are the dialectical unity.Traditional culture is a historical existence, any country’s economic development will be inevitably influenced by traditional culture, and deeply marked by traditional culture. The history of the modernization of the modern world manifested that the development of any country’s modernization process can not be completely independent of its traditional culture. In the process of Chinese socialist modernization, China is undergoing a hitherto unknown social changes, it is result of the fusion of the previous civilization accumulation and realistic re-creation to elevate the traditional culture to a new height and apply it into the practice of socialist modernization.This paper will explore the root causes of traditional culture marching into modernization on the basis of the existed achievement, the collision between traditional Chinese culture and the world culture, the existing problems between modernization process and traditional culture and how to solve these conflicts, traditional culture’s reflection of time, inheritance and development in the process of socialist modernization, and the role of Chinese traditional culture in the democratic and political construction, economic development, cultural construction, the Party building in new period, and the application into today’s construction of harmonious society and many other fields. It is proved that the traditional culture must be exercised scientifically, and the active factors of Chinese traditional culture should be fully evacuated and integrated.
