The adverb "you" belonging to class A in the outline level of HSK vocabulary, using very frequently in our daily lives. At the same time, the usage of "you" is very complex, and the syntactic form is very flexible. The study based self on large-scale corpus, conduct a comprehensive review and analysis of single adverb "you", from syntax, semantics and pragmatics. The article divided into six chapters.Chapter1is the introduction. It defines the object of this thesis, the purpose and significance of the topic. Additionally, it introduces the current and the previous research situation, also the theoretical approach and corpus source.Chapter2is the semantic analysis of the adverb "you". We defined the basic semantic feature of "you", summarized seven meaning items. And on this basis, we illustrated the semantic system.Chapter3is the syntactic studies in detail of the adverb "you". It used the theory of the structuralism, inspect and analysis the modifiers and the other adverbs which can be used together in one sentence.Chapter4bases self on chapter2, further analyzes the semantic presupposition of adverb "you" individually. Due to negative semantic presupposition is more complex than others, and mainly appears in negative form and rhetorical questions, the investigation also from the two aspects.Chapter5is the Pragmatic analysis of the adverb "you". We conduct the investigation, considering the emotional coloring, mood usage, stressed and unstressed syllables.Chapter6is the conclusion about this article. It summarizes each chapter of this article, and indicates the direction of the further research.
