Visual communication design has a kind of close relationship with people’s dailylife, the andience would be influenced by it intentionally or accidentally. Therefore, thedesign of visual communication should bring the audience some warm feeling whenmeeting its visual and propagandistic function. In the life of fast rhythm, the designerhas the responsibility to make the design work to bring the audience more positiveimpact, the concept of warm design put forward by this paper is consistent with thegood wishes and design prupose; at the same time, the andience who acting as theconsumer of the visual communication design would like to accept the positive andwarm idea.This paper is divided into seven chapters and five parts. The first part makes apreliminary introduction to the warm design. The concept of warm design was definedby expounding its research category and purpose, and the other related concepts suchas the cold design, humanization design, emotional design, slow design werediscriminated on the basis of the warm design. The second part of the paper expoundsthe necessity of warm design by analyzing the status and purpose of the visualcommunication design, and introduces the function of warm design in addition. Thethird part analyzes the features of the language elements of the warm design in detail,and the concrete expression types of different design direction were also analyzedcombining with design cases. The fourth part of the paper puts forward the method andstrategy to the idea of warm design. The fifth part conceives the future development ofwarm design, and puts forward the conclusion.This paper wants to tell people that the design works should contains intimatewarmth by expounding and exploring the warm design. The purpose of the research isto provide a design form with human warmth for the visual communication design,thus lets the audience feeling the spirit pleasure from but above the life when theyaccepting the design information; and tells the designers and andience that the designworks not only to meet the functional and visual requirements, but also to meet thespiritual needs of people in high-pressure environment; and lets the people acquiringthe spiritual consolation from the “warmth” contained in design works; and procides areference for other areas of design.
