| As we all know, education, as an inevitable tool for state ruling, has always been paid attention by every sovereign in each country in the world. Between this, higher education is what the most important part. Freedom, with its full meaning in the connotation and extension, plays an important part in education, especially in higher education. Higher education during the occupation of Nazis in Germany, abandoned the freedom of education and academic, established a highly centralized uniform of Nazi regime, which is the comprehensive setback of higher education in Germany. The relationship between higher education and Nazi regime are related to the both parts. On one hand, Nazi regime influenced higher education; on the other hand, higher education strengthened the consciousness of ruling class.The whole paper can be divided into three parts, which are the introduction, text and conclusion. On the first part, we mainly introduce why we choose this topic and the research results domestic and abroad about this conception. The text can be divided into three parts.The first part contains the whole first chapter. During this part, we explain about the decision factors that why Nazi regime can carry out all the reactionary reforms in higher education after they are in power. The author points out that the reason can be found not only from the education experience of Adolf Hitler, but also from the teachers and students’ attitudes towards higher education. Besides, the German’s preference to the war and duel in their national characteristics is the most important factor.The second part mainly includes the second chapter and the third one. On this part, we discuss the measures which Nazi regime carried out in higher education. The Nazis want to enslave higher education, through infusion of Nazi racism and global policy ideas. Besides, the militarization and Nazification of higher education has been built up by the measures of reactionary administrative restriction. All of these actions have the same goal, that is to built up a higher education system serving for Nazi regime’s selfish political purposes.The third part mainly refers to the fourth chapter. On this chapter, we basically sum up the serious consequences brought by the derailed behaviors that the Nazi regime carried out in higher education. Although the Nazi higher education has few differences compared with that in front of the Weimar Republic in general structure, the reactionary reforms still led to the setback of education in Nazi Germany, such as the sharp reduction in the number of students and teachers, the shortage of various technical position in the domestic, the chaotic of the order of universities and so on, all these problems also put great impaction to the Nazi regime on its own reactionary rule.On the conclusion, the author points out that the Nazis can turn education into a sin tool in such a short time, it is partly due to the preference of war in the German national characteristics. On the other hand, it is also combined with which higher education has unceasingly strengthened the Nazi consciousness. |
