As a new economic impetus, the tourism has drawn increasing attention and how to build its tourism image of a tourist attraction more effectively is what many scholars are exploring. The tourism image is composed of many aspects, among which the influence and application of dialect corpus to the cultural image of a tourist attraction is often overlooked. On the context of tourism, the paper attempts to approach the cultural image of a tourist attraction from the perspective of dialect application and fill the gap. Based on the survey of relevant researches at home and abroad, while connecting with the domestic tourism development, the paper focuses on the status quo of Changsha dialect application, explores the relationship between the dialect and the cultural image of a tourist attraction. By employing such theories as cultural linguistics, global localization concerned, the paper approaches the necessity of applying dialect to the cultural image construction of a tourist attraction and further concludes that being an important element in building a tourist attraction’s cultural image, dialect corpus was a vital tourism resource well worth exploiting. The paper finally makes suggestions on how to exploit various channels to the application of dialect resources in boosting a tourist attraction’s cultural image and some pending researches are proposed.It consists of four chapters:Chapter I is the introduction. It mainly introduces the subject matter, background, aims, significance, and methods of the research. Chapter II is the main concepts, relevant literature and theoretical base. Chapter III is the experimental and analytical study. On the basis of Changsha dialect research and its geographical culture, a questionnaire was designed. After making process and statistics of the survey data, it analyzes from three aspects:the perception of Changsha dialect by the local residents and tourists from other places, the recognition of Changsha cultural image by the local residents and tourists from other places, and the attitude of the local residents and tourists from other places towards the relationship between Changsha dialect and its cultural image. Chapter IV is the conclusion and expectation. It concludes the whole paper and proposes some researches pressing for further study.
