Empathy on disgust is a familiar phenomenon to us. The disgust of empathy by multiple physiological and psychological and social impacts, which the individual’s emotional state is an important factor. People’s life experience and empathy theory that positive emotions may promote empathy for others and the negative emotions may inhibit others empathy. In this study, the emotion as the starting point to examine the positive and negative emotions starts disgust empathy and explores its role in brain mechanisms. In this study, two experiments were to investigate the threshold and sub threshold mood to start the individual aversion empathy. Among them, the first experiment, ERP research methods,2(emotional Startup type:positive emotions start, negative emotions start) x2(task:to determine aversion aversive pictures) mixed design. The second experiment behavioral research methods (emotional startup type: positive emotions start negative emotions start and no start) x2(task:to determine the disgust, not hate target stimulus picture) mixed design. The experimental results showed that:(1) EEG results show that the judgment stimulus task, positive and negative emotions start group were all induced early components N1, P2, and N2, as well as continuous (500-800ms) late positive component (LPC). The incubation period, the various components of emotional judgment task interaction significant difference. Positive emotions start to the group to be identified disgust picture is smaller than the incubation period of the recognition of neutral pictures; negative emotions start group on the contrary, the results show that the emotional impact of the identification of individual aversive information.(2) Behavior results show that negative emotions start the group on the threshold test the reaction of disgust pictures longer than neutral pictures, accuracy, correct negative emotions start subliminal male reaction rate will be lower than the female subjects, suggesting that the threshold of negative emotions affect the test accuracy rate of the reaction target stimulus picture. That negative emotions affect the individual response to aversive stimuli, but this effect is different.(3) Positive emotions promote the individual’s aversion to empathy, and negative emotions inhibit the individual’s aversion to empathy.
