Discourse The Ethical Narrative Of The Creation Of Shi Tuo

Perhaps Shi Tuo is not a "great writer" in the Chinese modern literary arena, but a "famous expert". Shi Tuo is a writer who has his own unique individuality and creation style, for he has been writing and pondering by his unique way to mold his own literary world labelling "Shi Tuo". In recent years, the works of Shi Tuo has achieved certain results, However, our research is far insufficient to this unique writer and his works. In the circle of literature and art the critics about him and his works are obviously less than his creations in the whole. The crititcs concentrate on his fictions, lacking the closing reading and reflection of the integrity of his texts. Based on the present research situation, this paper tries to begin with his overall works:the first thing is to advocate the study from his novels to other literary styles such as prose, drama, from the perspective of the spatial angle; the second one is, from the aspects of combination of ethics and narration, to grasp Shi Tuo’s integrity creation. This paper is divided into three parts:The first part centers on the local ethics in Shi Tuo’s works, This chapter will analyze it from the following several perspectives:first, from the aspect of Shi Tuo’s deep fondness of the native soil, it will illustrate the land-blood relationship and the psychological significance; second, it will discuss two main performances in Shi Tuo’s local works---misery survival and the political ethics in the patriarchal society; third, it will elabrate the aspect of Shi Tuo’s criticism of the native soil and the strong compassion.The second part keeps an eye on the family ethics in Shi Tuo’s works. According to the analysis of the characters in Shi Tuo’s works, it will present the marriage ethics and the ethics of generations, for the former embarks on the ethics of husband-wife and the love ethics, while the latter elabrates it mainly from three aspects---father-son ethics, mother and daughters-in-law ethics and the ethics of brothers.The third part is working on the narration of ecological ethics. Shi Tuo loves nature deeply, and yearns infinitely for the sort of survival condition that man and nature are harmonious. This part is divided into two categories:the first one shows the loving concern in ecology, life and nature including the psalm of awe of life and the gratitude of natural nourishing; the other is the consciousness of ecological reflections.
