Chinese folk belief begians in twentieth Century, after the founding of new China, the folk belief study was once quiet. After the reform and opening up, especially in recent years with the revival of folk religion, folk belief gradually draws the academia’s attention.The period of the Republic of Urumqi of the Han nationality’s folk faith is with Han of Urumqi social development and gradually flourished. As Han of Urumqi society is an important component of culture, on one hand the basic content of inherited traditional beliefs of the Han folk, such as family worship, ancestor worship, the worship of God and so on. On the other hand, as a result of the Urumqi special natural and cultural environment, the folk belief ritual details appeared a few changes of the local characteristics, such as in the use of offerings for pasta and other food has the local characteristics of Xinjiang; in the ritual and reward god time is also slightly different with the mainland, in the Chinese mainland twenty-four of the last month of lunar year is the god time for people of Han nationality in inland, and twenty-three is the god time for people of Han nationality in Urumqi, gradually formed with local characteristics of the folk belief culture.The period of the Republic of Urumqi Han nationality’s folk faith in Han nationality of Urumqi benefited from the development of social development, however, by virtue of its powerful influence in society, the folk belief of Han nationality in Urumqi plays an important role in promoting formation of civil society at that development and consolidation process. Not only in spirit level for Han people provides spiritual support and psychological comfort, but in reality for the circulation of commodities of Urumqi and public amateur cultural recreation, it provided a good platform, and then form the interaction with the development of Urumqi local Han culture, so as to provides a just perfect entry point to promote the formation and development of local characteristic Han culture, which eventually formed the distinctive Chinese Urumqi Han culture.
