The Investigation of Questionnaire on Rupture in1998made impotance influences on the Chinesecontemporary literary world.But,this thesis aims not to discuss the process of this event,either make anyemotional evaluation on Han Dong etal. What we want to do is restore the basic picture of the “rupture”event and examine the essential problems beneath the surface.On the basis of the analysis of narrative styleand spiritual theme in their novels to explore their significance in literacy history.And discuss the rupturegeneration’s influence on Chinese literature.This paper is made up of introduction,main body(four chapters)and concluding.In the chapter one,wewill discuss the “rupture” event,“rupture” generation and the significance.On the basis of part one,we canknow that the “rupture” generation have a lot of contaction with mainstream literature of1980s.Theirinvestigation of questionnaire on rupture is just a way to show the presence as the aliens.Of course,weknow this behavior is not complete,either rational.However,they make a clear declaration to show that theyare different with the tradition literature.Form their novels,we can see that they have many contactions withnew realistic novels and vanguard novels.In the chapter two,we explore the contaction between “rupture”novels and the new realistic novels.“rupture” novels still write things in daily life,but,the difference is thatthey begin to put money and sex in the novels.The third chapter aims to discuss the spiritual theme andunderstand the differences between “rupture” novels and the vanguard novels.In “rupture”novels,vanguard color still can be seen.And,the difference is that they are no longer obsessed with theexploration of the novel form.They retain readers by popularization language and detailed scenessetting.So,their novels have many readers.At the end of this paper, a summary is made that the “rupture”generation inherit the literacy tradition in1980s,at the same time,they influence the next generation’sliterature. This effect is mainly manifested in opening a space of desirous narrative.As a result,the newgeneration can write something in this space.
