Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964) is one of the famous Italian artists in the earlytwentieth century. His styles and works inherited the traditional painting of theItalian Renaissance,and absorbed the art concept of the modernist artists,especially by Cézanne. He expressed his own unique in art with purely visuallanguage.Part of his styles had been impacted by the western popular art trend of themodernism. He is often on the edge of the schools of modern art, but there is acertain link. The richness and profundity of his painting had been excavated withthe rediscover and attention of the world art. Morandi devoted himself to a singlecomposition theme. His composition is a kind of exploration for visual perception.This paper based on Morandi paintings, combined with its social environmentand psychology of art artistic background from the angle of the painting languageanalysis. Working on his painting language,base on the subject, the spatialstructure and the color. So that, we can learn about his thought and spirit of art.
