The Study Of Lingping-Bobai Hakka Dialect

Bobai Hakka belongs to Yuexi(粤西)subdialecct of Hakka.The dissertation is synchronie and diachronie study of the Hakka Dialect-s in the Bobai(博白)town,Lingping(岭坪)country,using linguistic research methods.The study is mainly based on the data eollected from the author’s field investigation to the Hakka area in Bobai(博白)town,Lingping(岭坪)country,and it also draws upon previous research on this Particular subject.This dissertation is divided into five chapters.chapter2to5is the main parts of the study.ChapterI,Introduction.Abrief account of geography,history,langua-ge overview,Lingping(岭坪)’s overview in Bobai(博白),research done so far on the Hakka dialects of Bobai(博白),the purpose,the objeets of studies,the methods as well as something about symbol and spea rkers will be included in this chapter.ChapterII,the voice system of Lingping(岭坪)of Bobai(博白) H akka.In this chapter,describing Lingping(岭坪)of Bobai(博白)Hakka’s initials,vowels and tones system.ChapterⅢ,the contrasting phonetic of Lingping(岭坪)of Bobai(博白)Hakka.Drawing,comparing,analyzing Lingping of Bobai(博白)Hakka from diachronie and synchronie,generalizing phonetic characte-ristics,investigating conformitis and differences in Meixian(梅县),Sha he(沙河),lingping(岭坪).ChapterIV,the vocabulary of Lingping(岭坪)of Bobai(博白)H akka.Probing the characteristics of vocabulary Lingping(岭坪)of Bobai(博白)Hakka from origin,word-building approach,word form and meaning.ChapterV,the grammar of Lingping(岭坪)in Bobai(博白)Hakka.Drawing the grammar of Lingping in Bobai(博白)Hakka indetail.ChapterVI,the contrasting vocabulary and grammar in Meixian(梅县),Shahe(沙河),Lingping(岭坪)A simple comparison about vocab-ulary and grammar in Meixian(梅县),Shahe(沙河),Lingping(岭坪),summarying the same points and differences.ChapterⅦ,suming up the Hakka dialects of Bobai(博白)shortly.
