Autonomous learning is one important subject for education study. As a kind of learningability, self-regulated learning can not only improve the learners’ achievement, but alsopromote the life-long learning and his or her intellectual development. This study is designedto identify the issues which affect college students in web-based autonomous learning so thatit can be found the methods to improve web-based autonomous learning of college students.Literature review,questionnaire and interview have been used in this study. The tool used inthis study is the self-made questionnaire of web-based autonomous learning of collegestudents.62sophomore students of Qiqihaer University have been surveyed in this study. Thedata of questionnaire have been processed and analyzed in Microsoft Excel2003andSPSS10.0. Descriptive statistic, independent sample and T test have been used in this study.Investigation of the time costs online and situation of learning online indicates that studentsbasically have experience of learning online and they also have a good understanding ofweb-based autonomous learning. Most of college students agree that network is helpful totheir learning. Through the analysis of the questionnaire, college students using media andnetwork technology is mainly driven by internal goals, and when they learn in the networkenvironment they pay more attention to improve their own quality and various aspects ofcapacity; however, college students’ self-management and self-discipline are not very well inweb-based autonomous learning. Learning plan should be further improved. For networkresource, most of the college students are quite satisfied, and they also want to complete theirlearning goals and improve their capabilities by the way of web-based autonomous learning.The self-efficiency of college students in web-based autonomous learning is weakness, andthey cannot make them confidence during the process of learning. Furthermore, at the stage oflearning condition cannot meet the needs of college students. The objective condition shouldbe improved. Analysis of the differences of college students’ web-based autonomous learning,Overall, there are no significant differences in web-based autonomous learning from genderand major.Through the analysis of survey results, college students should raise the awareness ofweb-based autonomous learning to enhance the self-efficacy of learning, and during the learning process they should develop learning plan. College students should acquire somebasic skills and timely monitor and evaluate their learning. In the teaching process, learningstrategies and learning guidance should be strengthened by teachers. During the process ofcollege students’ web-based autonomous leaning, teachers should be prompt and effectivecommunication with students, and provide students with support and learning resources. Forschool, it should provide students with favorable conditions. Network curriculum and learningresources should be selected to meet the needs of their students.
