Abstract/Summary:
Audio mixing platform is the important core of mixing work. The basic concept of evaluating an audio mixing platform is the unification of unoverloaded audio streams according to the need of work while the soundarticulation of low level part can be preserved. At present, mixing researches mainly focus on musical aspects and subjective evaluation and ignore the significant meaning the mixing platform has to the downmixing. However, the mixing platform does have a great influence on the creation in the mixing process and final timbre, even in the "in the box" model; different internal operation precision of mixing results in apparent effects. With testing data, this paper compares the basic structures and principles of digital and analog sound mixing platform and analyzes their differences in tone quality, thus trying to explore more suitable pattern of mixing platform application.
