Study Of The Performing Comparison Between Shenhu And Erhu

Erhu, the most representative bowstring instrument nowadays in China, originated From Tang Dynastry, has experienced about four historical stages. In the past one thousand years scientific form and high performance of erhu have been achieved.And with the unremitting efforts one centry before several masters have established the independent status for erhu.ShenHu,the lord hu in Shanghai opera, is one of the most important accompaniment.Different from erhu, ShenHu is mainly used to play generic term of vocal music and instrumental interlude.But with the further development of music expression these years a few ShenHu solos based on Shanghai opera singing appears.Since the close relationship between ShenHu and erhu this paper firstly presents the origins and devolopment of theirs and finds their similarity and differences.Then a comparison of performing skills between them is raised to study the necessity and feasibility of mutual reference. Later the study suggests the details about how to improve the playing techniques of ShenHu in reference to those of erhu.Finally the investigation explores the education and training system for ShenHu art in the future...
