World economy is integrated today, and culture development needs nationalizationand personalization. Western powerful culture led by United States is influencing thepattern of the development of world culture. Culture competition has become arevolution in this new era as well as the political, economic, military, science andtechnology among the nations of the world. The21st century is an era of informationand technology, and the development of mass media is main trend of the times.Animation belonged cultural domain is an important part of the cultural industry, whichacts as a strong role in culture communication. In this case, animation has become acrucial path to spread and penetrate culture, and animation role modeling plays a keyrole in culture transmission. The United States and Japan are two super animationmanufactures in the world today. With the aid of vivid images and unique styles ofanimation characters modeling, the two nations are dominant in world commercialanimation. So, there is a big gap between China’s animation and animation power in theworld. It is a pressing problem to narrow the gap urgently between our country andother nations. Therefore, the main aim in this paper is to discuss and explore the way todevelop the modeling style of Chinese animation to adapt to style of the agedevelopment.Animation style is a prominent sign to identify different works of arts. So, in thisarticle, started with animation style, and views were put forward firstly about thatnationalization is the foundation of animation modeling style. It was expatiated thatnationalization of animation modeling style was the inheritance of traditional culture.Regarded the development of Chinese animation as the main line in this paper,thereasons for the prosperity and decline of "Chinese school" animation stylecharacteristics were analyzed. It’s pointed out that the traditional culture is thefoundations of forming "Chinese school" modelling style, and which prefigure theprimary issue what current Chinese cartoon faces is the lack of local culture. The UnitedStates and Japan are big powers of the world’s animation today. In this study, throughthe analysis and summarization of nationalization of American and Japanese animationstyle, it’s obvious that national culture and national identity are the foundation ofAmerican and Japanese animation modeling style. According to the above-mentioned,success stories were analysed and comparaed to American and Japanese animationswhich adopted Chinese style. It is pointed out that the national spirit is the soul ofChinese animation. And after this, by analysizing aesthetic tendency of Chineseanimation of different historical periods and different economic systems, furtherlyillustrates that the nationalizationis is crucial to the formation of Chinese animationmodeling style. Finally, Standing in the point of view of the era, Starting from theeffects of present situation of national economy development and modernist aestheticneeds of contemporary Chinese on animation modelling, analysing the relationship between animation modeling style nationalization and era. It’s indicated that thecombination of tradition culture element with modern scientific and technologicalmethods is growing trend of Chinese animation. And nationalization is always anunchangeable development direction for animation modelling style. At the same time,it’s essential to strengthen business operations and perfect the industry chain of Chineseanimation, and as a result, which will make Chinese animation industry play its properrole in the national economy.It’s hoped that through above discussion, this research would be helpful to theformation of modelling style of Contemporary Chinese animation.
