Heidegger’s Thinking of Earth(Erde), is not only important to his own thought, but also important for the history of western thought. What’s more, we in these days can find something useful in it to guide our lives. However, the study on this field is unsatisfying at present. First, some researchers misunderstand the "Earth" of Heidegger. Second, the interpretation process of it is not perfect, for example, nobody particularly analyzed the origin of Earth, and discussed the transition between "Earth and World" to "Earth-Sky-Divinities-Mortals".The chapter of Introduction-1"Earth" is not "what"(something):In this chapter we discuss some research about Heidegger’s Thinking of Earth of some internal and oversea scholars. And we explain the means of "Erde"(Earth) in Heidegger’s works and western thoughts:Gaia, this world, planet earth, land.Chapter One-2Why there is no Earth in Heidegger’ early stage works and "reversal" of his Thinking:We analyze why there is no Earth in Heidegger’s early works (Main work is Being and Time). That is because the Earth is covered by Being-there and his World. After that we discuss the crisis and reversal of Heidegger’ Thinking.Chapter Two-3The origin of Heidegger’s Thinking of Earth:What the origin of the Earth, Holderlin, Ancient Greek thoughts, Nietzsche, or something else? We discuss in details about what is the Earth’s meaning which is first appearance in The Origin of the Work of Art:the Earth is that which Self-secluding, Grounding, Coming forth and Shelters. And we also compare Earth with World, Earth with aletheia, Earth with physis.Chapter Three-4The progress of Heidegger’s Thinking of Earth:We discuss the progress of Earth’s meaning from "Earth and World" to "Earth-Sky-Divinities-Mortals". For instance, the "Got-World—Earth-Men" and "Aether-Light-Earth" are in transition of that. Subsequently, we compare Earth and Fourfold, Earth and Dwelling. The chapter of Epilogue-5Dialogue with Heidegger:This is the additional explanation of this paper. We introduce the meaning of "earth" in Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, and compare them to the understanding of Heidegger. In conclusion, we involve the significant of Heidegger’s Thinking of Earth.
