The Application Of The Day Reconstruction Method In The Measurement Of College Students’ Subjective Well-Being

Happiness, is the long-standing hopes to gain experience. Subjective well-being has not stopped since it entered people’s research. For thousands of years, different countries’s scholars accumulated a lot of data using different methods of happiness.Previous research on subjective well-being is divided into:cognitive components and affective components. While, emotional component include actively emotion and negative emotions.In this thesis we mainly focus on the affective components. Day reconstruction method is a effective tool that measures subjective well-being repeatedly and reliably. And its theoretical foundation is solid, strong subjectivity, and easier in operation. The day reconstruction method(DRM)is overcome traditional questionnaire to the measurement of the recall bias, this is the most rare. In China, the use of the day reconstruction method (DRM) is still in the stage of exploration. College students is that a group of each function body has developed mature, people used to look college students as a real adults. While in psychology,this group of college students, is just the " soul is born" stage according to the Carl Jung classification, Therefore, it is important to explore the subjective well-being on college students.In order to explore the college students’spiritual growth, this research take "the subjective well-being of college students" as the main line, using the2002Nobel economics laureate psychologists Kahneman, the day reconstruction method (DRM) research. Aims to reveal the current situation of College Students~1subjective well-being.This paper focuses on two issues in the study of subjective well-being of College students:First, Revising DRM Questionnaire, Using interviews and questionnaires collect projects.Work out17kinds of activities,10kinds of activity place,5kinds of interactive objects and15kinds of emotional experience.158subjects are tested by distributing and recovering of questionnaires.Using SPSS to get the reliability and validity of the test. Revised results shows that day reconstruction method has good reliability and validity in the measurement of subjective well-being of college students. So we can use it.Second, Apply the day reconstruction method on College Students~1subjective well-being is to investigate and statistically analyze. Three Universities in Shanxi,695subjects are tested by distributing and recovering of questionnaires,bases on the recording and revision of7015fragments of life, the results showed that students express more positive affection than negative affection in most of the activities, places and interpersonal interaction in one day. And happy, fatigue, enriching, excited, failure/lost and sad that the six emotional experience is higher score than the average experience value object in different activities, activity place, different exchange. The six emotional experience’regular pattern of day change matched with the previous research basically.
