Kenneth H.Pai is the representative of Taiwan writers, he writed37short stories and one novel since the late1950s, these stories established unshakable position in the Chinese literary circles. This paper attempts to make further discussion of Pai creative periods by studying contemporary Taiwan literature, overseas students literature, and history of Chinese American literature.There are three parts in this paper: The first one analsis the creative concept of Pai is human existence. He is not only development the characteristic of the "human literature", but also influenced from Western modernism. In the first place will be the individual narrative, and emotional loneliness and time of anxiety as an important part. Artistically, Pai consciously employs the western contemporary artistic technologies.The second focuses on the Characteristics of historical narrative. His creative impulses, derived from its identity crisis and cultural anxiety after he went to the United States. Pai’s "marginal" historical story and the "personal" pursuit of historical experience complementary reference to the literary creation of the mainland.The last one take "The Outsider" as an example,analsis the soul narrative in his works. He not only influenced by the aesthetics of "A Dream of Red Mansions", but also affected from Dostoyevsky’s opinion on human."The Outsider" highlighted the performance of this feature, it is to start from gay controversial social issues, describes the plight of fathers and sons are face to, beyond good and evil, in order to break the vision of secular ethics.
