Chinese classical dance has an indissoluble bond with Chinese Opera since its birth, which should beattributed to the hard work of dance workers. Classical dance is not a branch of Chinese Opera, as long asthe successful launch of “body charm”, dance ontology problem has been solved in the form, and at thesame time, it has promoted the discipline construction of Chinese dance. As the conditions become moreand more mature and the constant transformation of society and culture. The research to classical dancedeepens step by step, and dance workers gradually aware that the future development of Chinese classicaldance should be attached to Chinese traditional culture. So dance workers should fully embody spirit andnational characteristic in the development and innovation of classical dance. Female dance music, as atributary of Chinese classical dance, was developing and changing as a special art form from the slavesociety to the end of Feudal society.In Han Dynasty and Tang dynasty, music and culture had reached theirgolden ages of Chinese history. Slender waist, long shirt, grace and retained, elegant good at long sleeve,these words are the main description of its typical dance character, but Female dance music had been in anembarrassing position for political reasons, and its research has not been concerned for a very long time.This paper aims at the analysis of the inheritance and development of Female dance music. Chapterone is mainly about the definition of the related concepts about Female dance music and a summary of thedevelopment course. In the second chapter, the author compares Female dance music with Chineseclassical dance from four angels by contrast methods, which is on the purpose to interpret the function, thecharacter and aesthetic features of Female dance music in every levels. The third chapter is about theinheritance and development of Female dance music, the author discusses the achievements and problemsof the there branches of Chinese classical dance from both the positive and negative aspect with adialectical point of view.
