The Study On The Eyebrow Image In "Quan Tang Poem"

Image research is one of the hotspots of poem research. As one branch of the imageresearch, eyebrow image research has a long history in China literature field which has alsobeen described in The Book of Song (the first poem collection in China) and many other ancientliterature works. Since now, there are a number of meaningful discretions of eyebrow in poemsand this study focuses on internal and external beauty of image research of eyebrow in QuanTang Poem. Except foreword and summary parts, there are four parts of this study.Chapter one, this chapter is the basic part of this study. The writer introduces the topic ofthis study—eyebrow image in classic literature and formulates the research method of eyebrowimage research by discussing the definition of image research. This study aims to study theexternal beauty of eyebrow image research firstly and study the internal beauty of eyebrowimage research later. By exploring the origin of eyebrow image in etymology and Pre-Tangliterature, the writer also discusses the inevitable existence of eyebrow image research inaesthetics.Chapter two, this chapter mainly focuses on the external beauty of eyebrow image in QuanTang Poem. As to exploration the application of eyebrow image in Tang poem and itsmanifested external beauty, the writer suited the combination of eyebrow with shaping wordsand color words. Firstly, the writer studied the combination of eyebrow and shaping words toexplore the external beauty of eyebrow image. This type of combination includes Er Mei image,women’s dress eyebrow image ( include long eyebrow, willow eyebrow, moon eyebrow, shorteyebrow, splay eyebrow and far mountain eyebrow) and men eyebrow shaping image(include,elegant eyebrow, shaggy eyebrow, wind eyebrow, thick eyebrow and tiger eyebrow);Secondly,the writer selected the commonly used word combination of eyebrow with color words fromQuan Tang Poem to explore the external color beauty of eyebrow in poems. The words are Daieyebrow, emerald green eyebrow, green eyebrow, blue eyebrow, white eyebrow and frostyeyebrow.Chapter three, this chapter focuses on the internal beauty of eyebrow. The real reason that poets like the eyebrow image is the abundant emotion meaning and aesthetic feeling of eyebrow.Therefore, we should not just study the external beauty of eyebrow but also have to explore theimplied meaning of eyebrow image to understand the deep feeling of the poets. In the final partof this study, the writer studied the implied meaning and internal beauty of eyebrow fromintegrated, multi-visual angle and deep level aspects. Firstly, the writer discussed the impliedemotion beauty of eyebrow from the external morphological beauty to explore the amorousfeelings or miserable beauty behind the beauty of outward appearance; second, the writerdiscusses grieved beauty of inner beauty from worry factor of eyebrow expressed.Chapter four, the writer discussed the means of artistic expression, artistic characteristicsand function in constructing and expressing of the external beauty and internal beauty ofeyebrow image. In addition, the writer classified the artistic function that are embodied ineyebrow image in poem into three categories: portraying function, match function，symbolizing function.
