Design And Implementation Of Speech Scoring System

In recent years, with China’s accession to WTO, the world’s growing trend toward to integration, and people’s learning English will have become stronger. But the teaching resources of English cannot meet the growing demand for learning. In this case, the distance education English which can across time and space is playing an increasingly important role. However, in using of many existing English teaching system, we found that most systems ignore the "speak" ability. In our country, "speaking" has become the weakest one of "listening, speaking, reading and writing" four capabilities, many learners are not speaking practice opportunities.In order to overcome the weakness of current platform for teaching of English, we propose a speech scoring system based on speech recognition technology. This paper make voice score function module design and the function key technologies are described. The voice scoring modules can score the pronunciation for each user, according to the standard pronunciation to give a user’s verbal score. This function module can effectively solve the difficulties in spoken language training. This paper will introduce the key technologies and the specific design of the scoring function module.
