The Chinese nonfictional poetry tradition is a very popular theoretical assumption in overseas sinologists, its main idea is the traditional Chinese poetry is different from the western poetry, the meaning of the poem is unlike the western which is derived from "imitation theory" of ancient Greek, poetry is no longer through metaphor to express, but with the poet of their own daily life experience as material, and with the political history and culture are closely linked, poetry is nonfictional.From the perspective of comparative literature, this paper selects the representatives in nonfictional poetry theory, Japanese Sinologist Yoshigawa Kojiro and Chinese American Sinologist Pauline Yu, as the research object, it detailed analysis the comparison research method and content of the two people in the traditional Chinese poetics and literature, and discusses their respective for Chinese nonfictional poetry tradition study. Yoshigawa Kojiro, starting from the cultural comparison between Chinese and Japan, bases on his own experience of Chinese culture and rational thinking,comes to a conclusion that China literature values daily life and ignores the fiction; Pauline Yu differentiates the terms in traditional Chinese poetry and western poetics, such as "image", "metaphor" and "allegorical" in the comparison between Chinese and western literature, with the conclusion that different from western poetics, Chinese poetry tradition pays more attention to realistic, and exists no imitation and fiction. On this basis, in the end of this paper, analysis the present development situation and challenges of Chinese nonfictional poetry theory, and points out that only in the perspective of comparative culture, can Chinese and western culture truly understand each other with better dialogue and fusion in the background of multiple symbiosis times.
