Music Therapy Of The Prison Prison Staff Early Psychological Intervention Practice And Research

Prisoners are a special group of people, according to some research, the mental health status of prisoners in China is commonly in low level, which making it hard for the administrative personnel’s educating work.New prisoner’s mantel status is most complicated in the beginning time, so psychological adjustment in this period will greatly help directing his behaviors in the following days.This research takes the SCL-90 symptom self-evaluating table and the new prisoners adaption rating table as the evaluating tools, choosing 30 prisoners as researching objects, divides them into experiment team and reference team by random, 15 persons in both team. This research will take musical treat and group intervention only on the experiment team, and compares the difference between the test results on both team which were taken before and after the experiment, then evaluates the intervention result, referencing to the prisoners’self-evaluation and the comments on him from others.The research result shows that, musical treat activity can improve the new prisoners’mental health status to some extent, and can reduce their symptom self-evaluation table score, also can soften their negative feelings like nervous and fear when starting live in prison, that greatly helps them to adapt to new life, new work, and new social environment sooner, and helps them to improve their confidence and patience in new environment, so that improves the prisoners’mental health status on the whole.
