| Popular language refers to popular words, phrases, sentences or sentence group under the influence of such factors as the society, psychology and language itself, widely accepted and used in a certain period, and a certain range.Because popular language has as many characteristics as epochal, periodicity, the novelty, and epidemic, as a special social language, the study is of great significance.This paper is based on the vulgar language in recent ten years as the research object, mainly from the synchronic and diachronic two perspectives, carrying out transverse description and longitudinal comparison, and attempts to find out the development track. Six chapters are contained:The first chapter for the introduction, mainly summarizes the current research status of popular language, and introduces the purpose, significance and research methods.Chapter Ⅱ mainly refers to the definition of the popular language, first listing today’s representative viewpoints, secondly analyzing the popular form of expression, popular range, and the difference with other words, finally according to the existing information, through the sum-up, concluding the author’s own definition of the term.Chapter III analyses the reasons why the popular language comes about, mainly from the social factors, language factors and psychological factors to discuss.Chapter Ⅳ expounds the classification of popular language, from different classification standards to the vulgar divisions, citing a lot of examples to illustrate.Chapter V analyses and summarizes the characteristics of the popular language, and mainly does research on the contrast between the vulgar language in recent ten years and those of more than30years’reform and opening up, therefore, concludes that the characteristics of popular language in recent10years are unique, such as The main political color is light, rich content is more and more diverse; Network new word jargons are growing; Colloquial trend is deepening; fixed structure is increasingly rich, etc.Chapter VI for the conclusion of the paper, mainly expounds the trend of the development and the standardization of popular language. |
