| Since Language and culture share an inseparable relationship, teaching Chinese asa second language(TCSL) is not merely language teaching, but also having a lot to do withculture implantation. TCSL is concerned about both cultural factors of language andgeneral culture itself. It is of great importance to improve Chinese teaching when havingbettered dealing with the cultural factors as well as knowledge of culture. According to ouractual teaching experience;based on the classification of culture in Liu Xun’s Introductionto education of Chinese as a foreign language,teaching Chinese as a foreign language inthe cross-cultural theory, theory of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, languagepsychology and pedagogy mainly guidance for language theory, combined with the modernChinese linguistics, language cognitive theory and migration theory, and some other therelated theories;through the examples to collect, theoretical analysis, the literature researchand descriptive research method, the author tried to put the cultural content of SpokenChinese published by Peking University Press into different categories. Besides, this paperlists some teaching principles and methods which are suitable for TCSL,and according toInternational standards for Chinese teachers,the author discusses some cultural literacyand basic quality for International Chinese teachers. The author wishes this paper maythrow light upon TCSL and also may promote the development of its education. |
