This part explains this kind of work that embodies the author’s values and aesthetic tragedy, so as to realize the commiserative feelings and the unique thinking for life and society of the writer.In the final part, my paper summarizes describing suicide in Yu Dafu’s novel that contains the significance of the society, life, philosophy and literature. Compared to other writers, Yu dafu is unique. The uniqueness lies in his tolerance and face for suicide. He has more profound understanding of human nature rather than god or animal nature. With his own unique literary expression means, he may make the time for his contribution.Between Yu Dafu’s thoughts and the novel and contemporary writers and works we find that he is unsocial, for example, individual tendency, so that he was criticized too much. However,100years later, we stand in a certain historical highly, reading his novel, and we will find that even his novel describing the suicide also embodies the writer’s deep love for nationality and country.
