Le Clezio is considered one of the representative France writers in the latter half of the20th century. His works pay more attention to the confusion, anxiety and panic of urban disadvantaged and marginalized groups, thus have an idiosyncrasy of pure and original character. The works have strong sensory effects, and a strong exotic atmosphere. In the paper, we focus on Le Clezio’s three novels:"Desert"(1980),"wandering stars"(1992) and "Goldfish"(1997) which made children as protagonist throw the children’ visual angle, and to explore the children’s character identity, gender, emotion, and the fate of large colonial means of setting and significance in these works, as well as Le Clezio’s civilized cosmopolitanism thinking about the culture, race and homeland of the disadvantaged group.This paper is consisted of three parts:The Introduction section introduces Le Clezio and his works, and then summarize the research about him at home and abroad, thus points on the important value of this article.The first chapter discusses about how children’s visual angle is revealed in the novels of Le Clezio, and its meaning to the expression of novelist skills, thoughts and emotions. We analyze the characteristic of his work which adopt children’s view angle, for example, diluted plot, impressionistic figures, and unique language effects.The second chapter analyzes the figure of street children in his work, most of which reflect some kind of world sentiments, the reflection of the war, the objection to the dominant position of culture after globalization, the value of Minority’s languages and the care for diversification culture and civilization. The difference of his work lies in the goal which concentrates on the vulnerable group of the whole pattern, and the culture locus of him goes from the center to the edge.The third chapter discusses how children’s character forms a post-colonial style, and the meaning of it. In the process of shaping characters, the author chooses children from the third world, who are the most silent group, and enact the nature and destination of them in a different way.In the last part, we summarize the illumination of seeking the root of nationality of the third world. The reason of hometown’s downfall lies in the lost of nation’s culture. Le Clezio seeks a way to save the lost civilization throw his works.
