The Reseach Of Historical Consciousness In Yeguangqin’ Novel

Throughout Among the works of Ye Guangqin, there are novels on family affairs, novels on Sino-Japanese War, historic novels in shan’xi, ecological novels and so on, covering a wide variety and showing colorful contents. Generally speaking, her works characterize the precautious disclosure of history and the serious perception of life overseas. Novels, of course, are not equivalent to history. However, novelists have their own historic consciousness, especially in the context of Chinese language, which has a long literary tradition of "telling historic stories". In this essay, the author believes that the historic consciousness should be viewed as an aspect with great importance in novels written by Ye Guangqin. It reflects that the novelist, when writing novels, focused on history and managed to have in-depth disclosure of history. Meanwhile, it also shows that literature and history are intrinsically indivisible.The essay sets out from the historic consciousness, and studies the novels written by Ye Guangqin in a thorough way, with historic consciousness as an aesthetic concept that contains limitless implications, a writing method that utilizes true historic views and modes in describing historic stories in reflecting the spirit of the times and the historical significance, and a way of seeing the true history from artistic creation and humanity perspective. The essay is divided into five parts:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. This part clarifies the meaning and value of the theme, analyzes the status quo of the studies on the historic consciousness of Ye Guangqin’s novels and the reason why studies on the theme have been largely neglected, points out the need to study the specimen; and defines the concept of "historic consciousness" in literature, and lists its forms of existence in literature.Part Ⅱ:Forms of presenting historical consciousness in Ye Guangqin’s novels. Besides pointing out the forms of presentation of history in novels, the part also points out the ability of novels in reproducing history, with the aim to show the intertwining relations of novels and history.Part Ⅲ:the unique sense of history reflected in Ye Guangqin’s novels. This part is the core of the full essay, mainly discussing on the discourse of Ye Guangqin on the history of her family changes, her surpassing the traditional war history, her multi-faceted and comprehensive sense of history combining official and unofficial history, and the poetic sense of history combining historic reality and artistic reality together with sense of humanity to reflect history.Part Ⅳ:origin of historical consciousness in Ye Guangqin’s novels. This part analyzes the root causes of historic consciousness reflected in Ye Guangqin’s works, studying her family origin, cultural background and experiences. It is also significant to the understanding of her sense of history.Part Ⅴ:Conclusion. Conclusion is drawn that Ye Guangqin’s unique historical narration and her respect for humanity as the ontology of history unveils her attractive and unique history consciousness.
