Research On The Vocabulary Of Zhu Xi In "Zhuzi Yulei" By Yi Gang

The “ZhuziYulei” is one of the important corpuses for modern Chinesestudies. In the past two decades, the language studies of the book has seensignificant development, and achieved fruitful results. However, due to the specialnature of the language, the complexity of the language components, it fails torender the composition of the vocabulary in the round and the overall outlook ofthe vocabulary.By choosing the written quotations of his followers as the cutoff point, thisthesis studies Zhu Xi’s language and vocabulary from the perspective of diachronicand synchronic level based on Zhu Xi’s language in the seventy and eighth volumeof “ZhuziYulei” which is more colloquial. By retrieving the reference books andelectronic corpus, the features of Zhu Xi’s language and vocabulary aredemonstrated on the diachronic and synchronic level respectively. Meanwhile,spoken language of Song Confucian Mixed is presented through the data.The thesis consists of five chapters:Introduction contains current situation of the research, and the theoreticalbackground of “ZhuziYulei”.Chapter One tends to using “The Great Chinese Dictionary”as a referencebook. This chapter summarizes the statistic appears in simultaneously we create asynchronic statistic on the vocabulary appears in the statistics surveyed theliterature of the dictionary at the same time, and shows analysis on the data;Chapter Two lays emphasis on the meanings of reference books andelectronic corpus, and we make clear the meaning of the language vocabulary ofZhu Xi in the book “Yulei” written by Yi Gang from the perspective of diachroniclevel;Chapter Three analyzes language composition, vocabulary composition andlanguage phenomenon of the vocabulary of Zhu Xi in “Yulei” by Yi Gang through the statistical data analysis.Chapter Four makes an analysis and conclusion on language nature andresearch of Yulei, and put forward a new thinking on the vocabulary of Yu Lei;Chapter Five summarizes the research on the vocabulary of Zhu Xi in thebook “Yulei” by Yi Gang, and makes several conclusions and propose views; thencome to the limitations of this thesis and the suggestions for the further studies.
