On Aesthetic Ideology In Vocal Performance

In vocal performance, the establishing and cultivating of aesthetic ideology play an important guiding role in the performance. The singer, guided by aesthetic ideology, can better understand and interpret the music. Therefore, each singer must have the awareness of establishing and cultivating his or her aesthetic ideology.Giuseppe·verdi is one of the greatest Italian Opera writers. In his forties, he wrote his works La Forza del Destino which is compact and succinct in structure and rich in dramatic power. The aria Pace,Pace,Pace Mio Dio is from the heroine Leonora in the second game of the fourth act of La Forza del Destino。This aria is ups and downs, very dramatic and it is really a typical drama soprano aria. This thesis will make a crossover study on aesthetic ideology in vocal performance based on the basic theory of vocal music, singing practice and related aesthetic ideology theory taking Pace,Pace,Pace Mio Dio as a case study.
