Prospective memory is a memory that remember to do something or someactivities in the future.Time-based Prospective memory is a kind of Prospectivememory. Most of all of our daily life are related to PM, what’s more, everyfailure about our memory, nearly relating to prospective memory (Meacham,1977; Crovitz&Daniel,1984; Einstein&McDaniel,1996; West,1984;Kvavilashvili&Ellis,1996).Kvavilashvili&Ellis(1996)make prospective memory into four sessions, encoding, retaining, retraival, executing of intention. This study uses different instructions to control the cognitive expectation ofTBPM(Time-based Prospective memory) encoding process. According to theexperiments, expectation is acting as a pre-priming event of TBPM.The study contains three experiments to explore the following assumptions:(a) anticipation can approve subject’s efficiency of TBPM;(b) anticipation make different effect on different aged individuals’ TBPM;(c) anticipation and the importance of task affect the complishment ofTBPM;if the subject can make sure the opportunity of the task appearance and ifhe can cognitive the task importance, then he can do a goog job;but if theexpectation can’t be make certain, however one can cognitive the task importance, then the subject’s job is worse than the former; and the OT(on-goning task)correct rate can be upgrade, the response time be degrade.(d)If there the anticipation can be make certain, then the subject adoptstrategic process to complish the TBPM.
