| The object of this paper is to study the belt hooks and related remains inSanjinliangzhou area. Using typology, the study analyzed the belt hooks in this area,divided the area of the belt hooks the division standard of typology. On the basis oftypology analysis, divided local zones of staging and belt hook’s sequence. On thebasis of staging,the paper investigated the spacial distribution features of each periodbelt hooks. And through the comprehensive analysis, outlined the belt hooksappearance, evolution and development. This research goes on to use the“culturalfactors analysis methodâ€to analyze the foreign cultural factors in Sanjinliangzhouarea’s belt hooks. Then speculated the reason that these foreign cultural factors in belthooks appeared. From the perspective of belt hooks, it is discussed that there isexchange and interaction between Sanjinliangzhou and foreign cultural factors.The content of the thesis is divided into six parts.Part one:PrefaceThis chapter includes definitions of the research objective and spatial frameworkof this study. It also includes a summary of the achievements and deficiencies of theprevious research. This chapter explains that these deficiencies led to the research andresearch method of the thesis.Part two: Typological analysis of belt hooksUsing the typology analysis method, the study analyzed the belt hooks inSanjinliangzhou area, classified the belt hooks and the development of each type ofbelt hook’s evolution in this area.Part three:The chronology of the belt hooksAccording to horizontal relationship and coexistence of the belt hooks ,the studyjudged the age of the belt hooks. In order to ensure the age of the belt hooks, withintheir own evolution, the study divided the the evolution of the belt hook’s processesinto 3 periods in Sanjinliangzhou area. The periods are: the Middle-Late Spring and Autumn Period, the transition from the Spring and Autumn Period to Warring Statesinto the Early Warring States Period, lastly, the Middle-Late Warring States Period.This chapter discusses the characteristics of each period.Part four: Time and spacial distribution and developmental stages of the belthooksOn the basis of the prior chapters staging,the thesis investigated the distributionand pattern of belt hooks in Sanjinliangzhou area. At the same time, according to eachtype of belt hooks spatial distribution of situation, analysis of all the belt hooks stagesand differences in different areas. The chapter then combines that information withdocumentary and other archaeological materials for an explanation. The results arethat Sanjinliangzhou’s belt hooks can be divided into three developmental stages: theinitial stage, development stage , prosperity stage. This chapter outlines the belt hooksappearance, evolution and development.Part five: Analysis of cultural factorsThis sections uses the“cultural factors analysis methodâ€to analyze the foreignculture factors in Sanjinliangzhou area’s belt hooks. The foreign cultural factorsinclude, JiBei northern area cultural factors, QiLu culture factors and Qin factors. Thestudy investigated belts of other cultural types found in burials. The comprehensiveinvestigation burial implied all kinds of other information. This chapter speculates asto the reason that these foreign cultural factors on belt hooks the appeared. From theperspective of belt hooks, it is discussed that there is exchange and interactionbetween Sanjinliangzhou and foreign cultural factors.Part six: ConclusionSummary of the work of thesis and viewpoint of the author. |
