The Significance Extended Beyond The Painting Surface

Painting is static, there is an inherent appeal of creative thinking outside the carr ier performance concrete in an extension of off-screen, it is created the by the artist’s soul, it’s sad or elegant or beautiful or unruly of emotional expression extends to the outside of the screen to the audience to create a long aftertaste, so I call it HuaWai XianYin. it is the significance extended beyond the painting surface. A painting, the ar tist finished it, the audience watched it, and this completes the receiving process of H uaWaiXianYin. Therefore the full extent of the HuaWaiXianYin depends on both the p ainter’s convey and the viewer’s appreciation.The size of the canvas is limited; the only way to expand the significance extend ed beyond the painting surface is to enrich ourselves. To achieve that artists should gr ow up like a tree,grow up continuously and comprehensively, put the root in the rich ground about life and nature as deep as we can, let the trunk both coarse and stron g.We should be clear about our responsibility, and let people get help, hope, truth fro m our works. In this paper, two masters’examples were quoted to show my opinion, they are Wu Guanzhong and Picasso.
