The relative investigations and studies on the Jingpo personal nameare very lack, and hence, the thesis attempts to descript and analyze of the Jingpopersonal name, which can enrich informative corpus of Jingpo names, and tries tomake interdisciplinary research in linguistics,culturology, folklore，psychology andother subjects contents on the intersection of the Jingpo names, with a view to morecomprehensive,richer,and multi-angle discussion on the Jingpo personal name.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces the background of the Jingponationality, the geographical location, population distribution, the national branch,language and the literatures; gives a summary introduction of the research on namesof Chinese ethnic minorities, and analyzes the research methods, corpus, contents andsignificance.Chapter I is the naming method and structure of Jingpo personal name. Thischapter specifically describes the two types of Jingpo names, that is,the namingmethod of Jingpo branch and Zaiwa branch are named by the full name,Leqi branch, Lange branch and Bola branch are obeyed the texkeisonymy.It describes andsummaries these two types of personal naming methods and structures.Chapter II is the linguistic features of Jingpo personal name. It describes andanalyzes two types of Jingpo personal naming methods and structures from threeaspects of phonetics, grammar and semantics.Chapter III is the cultural features of Jingpo personal name. The jingpo surnameshave distinction between clan surname and family surname, the description isdescribed and analyzed in this chapter, and specific analyzes the relationship of theJingpo personal name with family relationships, social psychology, as well assummarizes the social function of the Jingpo personal name.The last part is the conclusion. It is a summary of the thesis. It proposes andforecasts the norm of translating Jingpo personal name to Chinese and thedevelopment trend of Jingpo personal name, and summarizes the limitations andshortages of the thesis.
