The Research On The Tibetan Singer-Caidan Zhuoma

Caidan zhuoma is75years old now. It is no doubt that she is the senior levels character in vocal music and even in the music cultural circles in Tibet, and she has been brilliant on the stage for more than50years. She occupies an important position in the singer of China and has thick and heavy colors in Tibet as far as to the whole China’s vocal music history. The reason why the writer chose this subject is the four reasons:(一) Tibet university is the only one higher school which recruit musicology graduate students in Tibet; as a graduated student studied the Tibetan music in art of Tibet university, it is incumbent on us to make research on the Tibetan music for the responsibility and obligation; Besides, the vocal music art is considered to be an important part of the Tibetan music and there are important singer like Caidan zhuoma in China. Therefore, it is necessary for us to make case study on the Tibetan singers, attempt to make their singing art theory closely connection with their singing stage practice.(二) We live in Tibet, and Tibetan vocal music occurred in the unique living environment, there are also many historical materials in Tibet, so we can make research on the Caidan zhuoma herself and her singing art with an "insider" status. The writer tries to make comprehensive and deep study on the Caidan zhuoma and her singing art.(三) Caidan zhuoma’s brilliant artistic life and her eminent achievement in stage show that she is a rare and successful model of singer. Therefore, the study on the Caidan zhuoma and her singing art could enlighten contemporary musical scholars, which is particularly important.(四) The previous researches on Caidan zhuoma still stay in a few years ago and mainly in her own resume, but she never stop his vocal music career and she has her own unique singing method and technology. The researches on Candan zhuoma in the past are still not enough and it need more research and improvement on her singing art.The research contains six chapters:the chapter one showed the author’s basic ideas. The chapters two combed the Caidan zhuoma’s art resume and seek Caidan zhuoma’s influenced factors. The chapter three classified the Caidan zhuoma’s vocal songs, and then summed up the characteristics of this kind of songs and analyzed its individual songs. The chapter four interviewed and investigated Caidan zhuoma’s teacher to summary her singing techniques. The Chapter five, based on the above analysis and researches, summary Caidan zhuoma singing art and the enlightenment content to contemporary musicians. The Chapter six is the conclusion of the whole paper; throughout the overall discuss, we can understand Caidan zhuoma and her whole text of singing arts from multiple perspectives and omni-direction, but not to understand a small part of the Caidan zhuoma achievement from single and isolated view.This paper utilized various kinds of methods materials, such as literature research method, the music history research, the field investigation, survey analysis and image empirical method and so on to collect the relative material, in order to make the paper can combine the advanced scientific guidance from the fields of history, philosophy, audio and video learning, ethnology, musicology and vocal music so on. We also hope to comprehensively analyze and research Caidan zhuoma and her singing art from various perspectives and fields.Based on the predecessors’research on Caidan zhuoma and her singing arts, the paper fatherly deepen and extend it, such as the detail analysis of various influence factors of Caidan zhuoma, clear classification of Caidan zhuoma’s singing songs, summarization on their singing characteristic and Caidan zhuoma’s singing techniques and enlightenment contents etc. However, there are few researchers on these aspects; and these are also integral parts of the research of Caidan zhuoma, which is worthy for contemporary musicians to make depth research. The eventual expectation of this study is to conclude and comb Caidan zhuoma and her singing art in systematic way.
