Italy is a nation of Catholic, and it developed its Capitalism earlier than others. Its Renaissance lasted more than 300 years, longer and more abiding than ant other European countries. Meanwhile, art achievements at that period were extremely outstanding, especially, the most commonest works were those which reflected the era secular spirit with religious subjects, and the Virgin and Child works were countless. The reason why set the research time between the 13th to 16th centuries was that the Virgin and Child works flourished at that period in Italy. The status of the Virgin was gradually highly valued after the 13th century, and the aesthetic evolution of the Virgin and Chide image underwent a dramatic transformation whether from the creating techniques or a art conception. Due to the influence of humanism, artists made the image of the Virgin and Child in paintings close to the“person”in real life little by little.This article carries on a thorough analysis with six chapters to probe into the deep social cultural and humanism reasons of the aesthetic evolution of the Italian Virgin and Child works. from the 13th to 16th century so as to demonstrate the splendid artistic charm and deep religious meaning. The first two chapters explain definition of“the Virgin and Child”works from the adoration, range and meaning of the Virgin and Child Portrait. Chapter three and four mainly discuss the aesthetic evolution of Italian the Virgin and Child works from creating techniques and aesthetics evolution of the image of the Virgin and Works with three items. The last two chapters make a conclusive analysis of the transformation between Divinity and Humanity, and the realization of emblem and ideal beauty from the artistical golden chain of“physical and spiritual”meaning of the Virgin and Child Portrait.
