Study On Youth Film Of Contemporary In Taiwan

This paper studies the youth films on Taiwan since the1980s. This paper is dividedinto five parts. The first part of the paper is “introduction”which elaborated thebackground of the topic selection、the research proposition and literature review ofTaiwan’s youth film. The second chapter is mainly about the definition of the youthfilms and division of the youth films of Taiwan on the last century since80’s, this paperpoints out three installments in accordance with division of the age, it is divided into theimprint of memory—structure of the1980s youth films, the segmentation ofmemory—deconstruction of the1990s youth films, the recording ofmemory—diversification of youth films in the new period. The proposed reason iswhich make a whole clearly understanding and grasp on Taiwan’s youth films. The thirdchapter is the foucs of the paper, according to the installments of taiwan’s youth film,analysis the different artistic features of the taiwan’s youth film in the different periodsfrom which the form and style of the film.It is that the1980s realism、mix with realismand expressionism in the1990s and the development of a wide range of Taiwan’s youthfilms in the new period, for this, the paper selects representative films in the differentperiods to analyzed and elaborated. The forth chapter from the development perspectiveof taiwan’s youth film to observe that the advantages and weak points of the Taiwan’sfilms. The author believes that the development of Taiwan’s films can’t separated fromthis “youth” motif, from Taiwan’s youth films to observed the whole market of Taiwan’sfilm, youth films are good for the development of Taiwan’s films. In the conclusion part,time freezes in2012.
