A Study On Development Process And Features Of Dongwanggong And Xiwangmu Image

Dongwanggong and Xiwangmu are the important component of Chinese ancient mythologysystem. Its related studies have always been valued by the academic circle. As far as imagestudy is concerned，the Xiwangmu image is mostly seen the study focus in the ownedachievements with fewer emphases laid on Dongwanggong study. In the mere studiesinvolving Dongwanggong image，Dongwanggong is simply seen the mirror image of Xiwangmu.By taking Dongwanggong and Xiwangmu image as the independent theme，its changes andcharacteristics are discussed profoundly in this paper. In variousarchaeological data，the stone relief and bronze mirror are selected as the main study objects.Then，the stages and zones are divided through archaeological typological method. Eventually，the preliminary cognition on the role of the theme of Dongwanggong and Xiwangmu image inthe coffin chamber and life art is formed.
