With the improvement of China’s comprehensive national strength, more and moreforeigners are learning Chinese now. Confucius Institute and Classroom have been around theworld. Chinese, as a very important commercial language, is given great attention by allcircles of the society in Bangladesh. At present, Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT) andOxford International School have already started the Chinese language course besides threeuniversities. But the relevant research of teaching mode is still not too much.Therefore, through almost one year teaching in BIT, the author explored the application ofActivity-based Approach in this school based on the theory of Experiential Teaching.From the theoretical and practical aspect, this paper analyses the basis, core idea, thefeasibility and necessity of Activity-based Approach. And the author shows us the wholeprocess of example activity teaching. It turned out that it can work very well in BIT. It canalso improve the students’ activity participation, Chinese oral communication ability. It gotapproved by students in BIT.But this mode still has some problems. The author will put forward the reasonable opinionsand suggestions to eliminate the disadvantage factors and popularize Activity-based ApproachThe author hopes this paper may shed a bright light on Chinese teaching in BIT, especiallyproviding a new teaching idea for the reform of Chinese teaching mode.
