Objective: Laryngeal cancer (laryngocarcinoma) as a common malignanttumor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, one of the first in head andneck cancer, its incidence in the northern region. The world within the scopeof the basic research, started new methods such as targeted therapy.Mapin as anew kind of serine protease inhibititors,is considered to be assointed withinvasion and metastasis of tumor, has the function of inhibiting tumor cellinvasion and metastasis, induction of apoptpsis and inhibit tumorangiogenesis, but vascular endothelial growth factor has the effect ofinducing the formation of blood vessels, promoting tumor growth and therole of the transfer. At present, the studying of the relationship and expressionabout maspin and VEGF-C in the oral cavity, digestive tract and urinarysystem is more than the studying in the head and neck tumor, such aslaryngeal and hypopharyngeal. The purpose of our experment is to study theexpresstions of maspin and vegf-c in laryngocarcinoma and their corrlelation.Methods:Collect30cases of laryngeal cancer specimens and10cases ofnormal tissue cue off by Surgical resection during May2011to July2012.All samples were drawn materials after they are cut off, stored in4%formaldehyde, then Embed it by Paraffin. Objective to detection theexpression of maspin and vegf-c in laryngeal squamouse carcinoma andnormal laryngeal tissue with immunohistochemical method. All date areanalysised by using SPSS13.0statistical software.Results:1The study results of Maspin1.1Immunohistochemistry was employed to measure the expression ofMaspin gene in30specimens of LSCC tissue and10specimens of adjacentnon-neoplastic tissue. The positive expression of Maspin were mainly localized in the cytoplasm and part of the nucleus. The positive expression rateof Maspin protein in LSCC tissue was40%, while that in the adjacentnon-neoplastic tissue was90%. The rate of Maspin positive expression inlaryngeal cancer tissue was lower than normal tissue significantly, hasstatistical signicance.1.2With laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma of the lower degree ofdifferentiation, Maspin positive expression rate is lower. The positiveexpression rate of Maspin expression in the group of the lymph nodemetastasis was15.4%, while that in the without lymph node metastasis was58.8%, and the former is obviously lower than the latter, has statisticalsignicance.1.3It that Maspin expression has no corrletaion with laryngeal cancerpatients gender, tumor growth tissue.2The study results of Vegf-c2.1Immunohistochemistry was employed to measure the expression ofVegf-c gene in30specimens of LSCC tissue and10specimens of adjacentnon-neoplastic tissue. The positive expression of Vegf-c were mainly localizedin the cytoplasm. The positive expression rate of Vegf-c protein in LSCCtissue was76.7%, while that in the adjacent non-neoplastic tissue was30%.The rate of Vegf-c positive expression in laryngeal cancer tissue was higherthan normal tissue significantly, has statistical signicance.2.2With laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma of the lower degree ofdifferentiation, Vegf-c positive expression rate is higher. The positiveexpression rate of Vegf-c expression in the group of the lymph node metastasiswas100%, while that in the without lymph node metastasis was58.8%, andthe former is obviously higher than the latter, has statistical signicance.2.3It that Vegf-c expression has no corrletaion with laryngeal cancerpatients gender, tumor growth tissue.Conclusions:1The higher expression of Maspin in the nomal tissue and the lowerexpression in LSCC tissue, indicating Maspin gene may play the rule of tumor suppressor gene in the occurrence, development of tumor.2The higher expression of Vegf-c in the laryngeal carcinoma tissue andthe higher expression in nrmal tissue, indicating Vegf-c gene may promotethe occurrence and development of laryngeal cancer.3The expression of Maspin and Vegf-c in laryngeal cancer tissue hassomething to do with the lymph node metastases and organization of thedegree of differentiation, indicating that Maspin and Vegf-c gene maycorrelated with malignant biological behavior of LSCC.
