ObjectiveFacial Paralysis deficiency of qi and blood experiences a prolongedtreatment but havenot be healed.It affects patient’s physiological andpsychological health seriously。 To observed clinical effects of acupunctureplus Chinese medicine supplemented counseling and facial muscles in treatingfacial paralysis deficiency of qi and blood, Conduct a comparative study,explore better treatment of facial paralysis, and further improve the treatmentoptions,in order to improve the recovery rate of facial paralysis. Provide amore detailed,comprehensive and reliable basis for the clinical treatment offacial paralysis.MethodsSelect patents with qi and blood deficiency as syndrome type, the meancourse of disease was between2months and1year.64patients were dividedinto the acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group and the acupuncture group.The acupuncture group have acupuncture treatment, psychological counseling,and facial muscle function exercise.Select the regular points and the points ofpromoting blood regulating qi. Treat it every other day, and2weeks as acourse. Guide the patient’s psychological adjustment in a right way timely andappropriately.Establish a correct concept of disease and health. Direct patient to finish the facial muscles exercise in correct method and time.Theacupuncture plus Chinese medicine group not only have the above treatmentbut also take Chinese medicine (qian zheng san and ba zhen tang), takemedicine daily, and2weeks as a course. Record FDIP FDI and so. Thestatistical analyzes significant change to assess the clinical efficacy of the twogroups, assessment safety,and Statistics under the standard established in theassessment of therapeutic effect markedly effective rate after treatment.Result1.Comparison of clinical efficacy: The acupuncture plus Chinesemedicine group cure rate was32.3%, markedly effective rate was80.7%, totaleffective rate was93.5%; cure rate was19.4%in the acupuncture group,markedly effective rate was51.7%, total effective rate was77.4%. The totaleffective number of cases and total effective rate are more than theacupuncture group, statistically significant difference (P <0.05); two groupsmarkedly effective rate and cure rate, statistically, there is a significantdifference (P <0.05).2.Comparison of facial nerve function score between two groups:Before treatment, patients’facial nerve function scores were not significantdifferences. After treatment, patients’facial nerve function score higher thanthose before treatment, and there is a significant difference (P <0.05);comparison between the two groups of patients, the acupuncture plus Chinesemedicine group increased more obvious, and there is a significant difference(P <0.05).3. Comparison of facial nerve function score between two groupsbefore and after treatment: Before treatment, patients’ FDIP and FDIS werenot significant differences. After treatment, patients’FDIP and FDIS higherthan those before treatment, and there is a significant difference (P <0.05);comparison between the two groups of patients, the tacupuncture plus Chinese medicine group increased more obvious, and there is a significantdifference (P <0.05).4.There is no adverse reaction occurred in two groups duringtreatment.Conclusion1.The clinical efficacy shows that the cure rate of the acupuncture plusChinese medicine group and markedly effective rate are higher than that of theacupuncture group. Combined treatment of acupuncture and Chinese herbs hasbetter clinical efficacy. It is more to beneficial to the stubborn facialparalysis’rehabilitation.2.The healer objective observation showed that the two kinds oftreatment methods are both helpful to improve the facial nerve function, butthe acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group improved significantly.3.The patients’ subjective feelings questionnaire results show that thetwo kinds of treatment methods both can improve the patient’s physicalfunction and social function, but the acupuncture plus Chinese medicine groupincreased significantly.4.Two kinds of treatment methods for facial paralysis with deficiency ofqi and blood are safely and effectively.
