Objective: Explore the clinical efficacy of the foraminal endoscopicdiscectomy in the treatment of lumbar fusion postoperative symptomaticadjacent segment degeneration. Methods: February2010to2011January,20cases of lumbar fusionpostoperative symptomatic adjacent segment degeneration in patients withlumbar lateral road foraminal endoscopic discectomy treatment,8males and12females; age49to61years old, average57.5years old. Lumbar fusionafter3years to10years, an average of6years and5months. Comparative analysis of20patients before surgery, postoperative1week,3months,6months,12months and the last follow-up of leg painVAS scores and the last follow-up Macnab ratings.Result:20patients all have received follow-up, follow-up time for12-23months, averaging18.3months. VAS scores compared with preoperativepostoperative low back pain were significantly reduced, the differencestatistically significant (pīš¤0.05). The evaluation of Macnab score wereexcellent in10patients, good in8, fair in1, and poor in1, suggesting aneffective rate of90%(18/20).1cases of postoperative patients with recurrenceat3months, relapse rate (5%).Conclusion: Lumbar vertebrae posterior resection of nucleus pulposus ofintervertebral foramen endoscopic treatment of lumbar spine fusion surgery for symptomatic adjacent segment degeneration after satisfactory within theshort term clinical effects.
